1. Who we are

Bunker Hill Elementary School PTO ("the PTO", "we", "us") is the volunteer-run, non-profit parent-teacher organization supporting Bunker Hill Elementary School, located at 6620 Shelbyville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46237. The Bunker Hill PTO Portal ("the Portal") is our member communication and coordination tool, used for things like sharing events and fundraisers, volunteering, messaging other members, managing tasks, and surveys. By creating an account or using the Portal, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

Most features require an account. Accounts are for parents/guardians and staff connected to Bunker Hill Elementary School, and new accounts are reviewed before they're approved. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information on your profile.

3. Acceptable use

Please use the Portal respectfully. Don't use it to harass or impersonate others, share content unrelated to PTO activities, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours. The PTO may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.

4. Notifications and SMS opt-in

You choose what you're notified about and how — email, SMS text message, and/or push notification. Every notification type and channel, including SMS, is off by default. For account holders, SMS is enabled per notification type under Profile → Notifications; checking a box is how you opt in, and unchecking it (or turning SMS off entirely) opts you back out at any time. Event volunteers without an account opt in by checking the text-reminder box on an event's volunteer sign-up form, which covers reminders and a thank-you for that event only.

By opting in you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from the Bunker Hill PTO for the notification types you selected. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Portal, of volunteering, or of any purchase.

Message frequency depends on which notifications you enable and how active the PTO is (typically a handful of texts a month at most, e.g. task reminders or event updates). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or reply HELP for help; account holders can also turn SMS off anytime under Profile → Notifications. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle SMS opt-in data — in short, no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Content you submit

Messages, survey answers, task notes, and photos you post through the Portal are your responsibility. The PTO may moderate or remove content that violates these terms.

6. Third-party services

The Portal relies on outside services to operate — Supabase for hosting, authentication, and data storage; Resend for email delivery; and Twilio for SMS delivery. These providers only process your data to deliver those specific services and not for their own purposes.

7. No warranty

The Portal is provided by a volunteer-run parent organization on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Portal.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Portal after a change means you accept the update.
